It's Time to DO SOMETHING! Putting an End to Gun Violence with March Fourth

As moms, protecting our kids isn’t just important — it’s instinct. It’s wired into us from the moment we hold them for the first time. We check the doors, we buckle the car seats, we hover at playgrounds, we worry when they cough, and we whisper little prayers at school drop-off.

But right now, there’s a reality none of us can ignore: gun violence is the leading cause of death for children in the United States.

It’s heartbreaking. It’s overwhelming. And when faced with a problem this big, so many of us are left wondering:

What can I actually do about it?

That very question led Sarah to a powerful conversation with Kitty Brandtner — Founder and Co-President of March Fourth, a nonpartisan organization working to end the mass shooting epidemic in the United States.

Kitty isn’t a politician. She isn’t a lifelong activist. She’s a mom — just like us.

And that’s exactly why her work is so powerful.

Through March Fourth, Kitty is helping everyday people move off the sidelines and into meaningful, real-world action. She’s showing parents, families, and communities that change doesn’t just come from politicians or headlines — it comes from ordinary people deciding they care enough to do something.

Because here’s the truth:

We can do something about this.

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, scared, helpless, or unsure where to start — you are not alone. And this conversation is for you. It’s about turning fear into action, confusion into clarity, and heartbreak into purpose.

You, YES YOU in the spit-up-stained sweatpants, running on cold coffee and very little sleep can help make a difference.

Here are a few simple ways to take the first step:
